I was asked by someone recently to post about love. Seeing as I am a dreamer, I can do this quite easily. Be prepared, I will be talking about my thoughts, this may not encompass the entirety of love.
I love my wife. I know what you are thinking, of course I love her, we just got married. Well, you are right, but inaccurate as to what love is. I love her. You see, I do things every day for my wife that I do not even know she notices, but I hope she does. I actually take the word, and make it an action. My wife has a super sniffer. No she does not have a huge nose, it’s actually really small and cute, but she can pick up smells from a mile away. I am not joking. So an example of me loving my wife is taking the trash out. I also do not throw away food or leftovers that are not either in a sealable baggie or are being taken right to the trash bin outside. I do that for her. When there are dishes to be done, I do them. When the floors need it, I vacuum. I love my wife. Love is an action word. I do not rely on the word to express to my wife how much I appreciate and love her. I love my wife so much that I would do anything for her.
It is kind of funny. I thought I knew what love was growing up. I mean, we know what love is because television and everything show us right? Nope. They certainly know how to taint what love is. So I have been looking elsewhere to see some prime examples of what love is. Wouldn’t ya’ know it; I find myself reading the Bible. Is it not amazing that there is a God who so loves us and wants a relationship with us that He invites us to call him Father? Is it not amazing that the creator of the universe and the maker of the seas, skies, oceans, mountains, valleys and plains says we were not only his favorite creation, we were the ones that all of those other things were created for? Is it not amazing that the creator of the world, all-powerful, all-knowing, sustaining God of the universe wants a personal relationship with his children? Is it not amazing that this God spared not even his own son from death in the most horrific way man has ever imagined so that we could meet the reality of knowing him.
You gotta’ admit pee-wee, that is love.
Love is an unconditional set of actions. It is not an encompassing word. I love my wife, and sometimes, while loving her, I tell her.

Food for thought: What do you believe about this crazy little thing called love? If we loved unconditionally, we could truly change the world.
