Light vs. Dark: Part I

The next generation needs to prepare themselves to be comfortable in the uncomfortable. I do not mean that they should put themselves into positions that cause them significant discomfort, but I mean that if they are to be the salt and light of the world, they are undoubtedly going to go into some of the most uncomfortable positions they have truly ever been in.

The fact is simple, the darkness needs the light. A little light can go a long way. Darkness cannot prevail over light. But when you are the only light, in a world of darkness, you will be uncomfortable. Take heart! For God is with you. You may not feel like the brightest light (no pun intended) out there, but even the dimmest light, in a dark world, can make a huge impact on the darkness.

To illustrate, think about the darkest place you have ever been. For me it was in the middle of a field in the thumb of Michigan. With darkness all around, the dimmest cellular device can show the path.

If you continue to let your light shine before all men that they may see your good works and praise your Father in heaven, you will make a bigger impact on the dark than you could ever imagine.
