I’ve been in a few transitions lately. Quiet because I felt like my need to focus in and experience the transitions was meant to be part of the transition. But lately I’ve been being told to play it safe, chill out, and take it easy. Some have told me we have time, so don’t rush it. They have said, we’ll get there, eventually.
We do not have time. The suicide rates are stagaring. We don’t have time to waste. Urgency has to be felt and managed by the leader. You have to, as a leader, understand the urgency, and put your team in the best possible position to win. Nehemiah didn’t take his time going to his boss and communicating the urgency he felt. David didn’t wait to see what would happen with Goliath. Joseph didn’t spend time pondering his response to interpret dreams. Daniel actually prayed about whether or not he should pray when the law said not to.
Urgency is huge. We need people to know the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is so needed in this country, in this world. The Kingdom of God is found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the free gift of God that is salvation comes from that story. I don’t care what you believe, if you don’t believe in an empty grave, you need to figure that out first. I don’t care what political party you align with, if Jesus is who he said he is, you need to figure him out first. I don’t care where you’re at with your liberal or conservative pipelines, I don’t care. The only thing that matters, in this world, is Jesus Christ. If Jesus is who he said he is… You need to figure that out. More than breathing, you need to figure that out.
We have got work to do. Let’s get to work! For the glory of God! So that His Kingdom can come and His will can be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
