Sometimes you feel like a ship in the night. You’re wandering around trying to find whatever it is that you went to look for in the first place hoping you’ll be able to stumble upon something tragically beautiful at the end of all things. Maybe you feel like when the sun finally comes up you’ll have, by chance, executed the perfect night sail and come right where you wanted to be the whole time.
Call me a pessimist (which is ridiculous if you knew me) but I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to go and to date I’ve only seen a handful of people actually pull it off.
Why wouldn’t you want to put intention behind your movements? Why wouldn’t you want to make calculated stops. Why run the risk of capsizing your ship?
I watch people do this all the time. They kind of look like they know what’s going on but when you get to asking questions you find they don’t really know what’s going on. Wouldn’t life be better if you knew? Wouldn’t life be better with a light house? Wouldn’t life be better with someone guiding you to shore? Or at least directing you away from danger!
If you answered yes at all… I’d offer one final question: if I told you that you could find Him… Would you believe me?
