Today, while in class, I was presented with one of the most motivating statements any leader could ever ask for. My professor, Dr. Wenig, stated the following: “great movements require great leaders”. WOW! What a HUGE thought and for a guy like me my mind automatically was racing toward the best question I could ask at the time: what does being a great leader look like?
You can see the implications of this question. You can probably feel your mind heading down the line of thought that I did. If you are currently a leader or practicing leadership, you probably just got really excited cause you want to be that great leader that leads a great movement. This is how God has wired you. There is nothing wrong with this desire, but I urge you to consider the question I asked. What would it look like to be a great leader.
Chances are you have seen people try, and ultimately fall short of great leadership, so I encourage you to explore this question significantly. What would it look like to be a great leader? Great leaders are wanted, they are needed. We are the wanted, the outlaws if you will, my question is simple: are you striving to be a great leader?

food for thought: what would it look like to strive for great leadership?
Thank you Dr. Wenig, your classes are always an encouragement and your passion a motivation to pursue the life I am. Thank you.
