Gearing up for Christmas can be hectic!
Gifts, lights, do not forget the Christmas tree, check the cookies, something is burning, check the cookies again, shoveling snow (if you are lucky), Christmas music, traveling, seriously check the cookies, stress, stress, stress. So why do we not just take a second and breath?

Christmas is about the long anticipated event that was the birth of the Savior of the world. This does not mean that it is Jesus’ birthday, it means that for over 2000 years, the Fall of Man left a huge void relationally between us and God. The birth of Jesus was the first step into the renewing of that void and the antidote for the disease that is sin.
Christmas is not about how many presents you get, nor is it about how many you give (though that can be a lot of fun). Christmas is about an event, that would forever change the course of history.
I wish you all a very, merry Christmas.
“Today, in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ (or Messiah) the Lord.”
