Don’t Let the Statistics Fool You

I get on to my blog sometimes and I check the numbers of my blog page. I get to watch the numbers climb and fall. I get to see which post is the most popular; I get to see which is the least. I did the same routine today. I get on, checked the stats, and realized something. The statistics are not just numbers. They are readers. Not just readers, they are readers reading me.

Imagine the encouragement I got when I saw that I have had close to 550 people read my blogs since I started this venture a month or so ago. I started to realize that is 520 more people than I would have been able to if I just met one person every day. YES THERE IS a huge mentality switch currently happening. I want to tell you more statistics that have fooled us all.

The world says, statistically, you will not be able to wait until marriage to have sex. I’m proud to say that I’m personally proving that one wrong, and so are many of my friends. It says, also, that life will be better if you do have sex before marriage with whoever you want. I disagree.  The world says, statistically, the divorce percentage is not an issue, and the fact that it is rising is not a big deal. I have seen men and women rule this world together for 20, 30, 50+ years, TOGETHER. The world is going to tell you many things.

It will tell you the odds of making it are slim. They will say that to follow Christ is to follow a lie. The world will say that to give your energy to help someone else is wasted energy. The world will tell you that your just one in a billion people on this rock, but I, as you can probably see, disagree.

The odds of making it are better in your favor if they are slim, because then we have to rely on God and not ourselves. To follow Christ is the only way I have known how to live. There is more truth in Christ than a world full of theory and hypothesis. Selfless giving is the kind of thing that can CHANGE THIS WORLD! Do not stop doing that, please. You are not just one in a billion, you are one OF a billion. One voice matters. One voice can make a change in this world.

Food for thought: (Enter at your own risk) I hear, and talk to people who are upset with their plight. They say things like “why am I here” or “why do I go to this school” or “why are they starving”? I wonder if we all took a minute, sat back and asked that question to ourselves. I have seen a lot of people give up on themselves and others and their organizations they are a part of because they become discontent. It’s like we think because we are not content, it means we have a way out. I got “it” in tag, I do not want to play anymore (Have you ever seen that?). Buck up pilgrim. Make a change. I am sorry to rant but I am SICK, rather disgusted really, of people asking questions that THEY COULD BE THE ANSWER TO.

Statistically, some of you do not like to hear the last statement made…
