I’m pretty sure this is self-explanatory. It’s not going to be easy. This thing called a journey is not like a stroll down the road. It’s a long walk. It’s like Pilgrim’s Progress or The Lord of the Rings. It is going to take all of you. It is going to stretch you, take you further than you have ever been, give you problems, make you carry burdens, and finally, change you completely.
It is hard when you go through your own journey. It is hard for two reasons. First, it is just plain difficult to constantly be in battle with yourself. To constantly be in contention with yourself. Second, no one will be thinking in the way you are. No one will be wondering how their actions directly affect God. You will go through your journey and start to feel utterly alone. You will start to have people who do not understand you.
This is one of those things that does not even need to be talked about. You understand. If you are ready for a journey like this, and you are currently on it, this entire post makes perfect sense to you. I just encourage you to keep on keeping on. Do not be discouraged. Do not be overrun. Do not give up. Do not stay down when you fall. Get up. Keep going. You can do this. Do not doubt, be steady. Give God your world, and have him fight with you.
Short and sweet.

Food for thought: Where will you be in 6 months to a year if you do not start your journey? A wise man asked me this question and after he knew I was stumped because I was answering things like “college” or “hopefully working somewhere”. He smiled and said this: “you will only be 6 months to a year older.”
